News from One Challenge Ministries
We are delighted to announce that Steve & Renée Grubb have moved closer to One Challenge in UK. While their main ministry focus remains member-care for One Challenge USA's missionaries across Europe, Steve & Renée have valuable ministry in Worthing, West Sussex, where they have lived for the past eight years.
Given the pressures on missionaries these days, member-care is a vital investment to support and retain precious workers. Steve & Renée also participate in developing networks of member-care people around the world.
The Grubbs love motorcycling. Britain's undulating countryside and winding roads give them much pleasure. They support, by being involved, the Christian Motorcylists Assocation (CMA) - planning several events and gatherings this summer. Please pray for CMA events and gatherings, for good numbers and strong unity.
Among those Steve and Renée have supported are two couples wanting to marry but each couple needs one visa to allow them to be together. Across the OC world visas have proved difficult to get. Please pray that these two couples will be able to marry and continue their paths towards overseas ministry.
Encouraging Christian Leaders
Work is under way to publicise the October event for Christian leaders. Given the tremendous pressures many face, One Challenge wants to help and support by arranging an event during October 2017 to allow some pastors and leaders to pause for a time when they can refresh themselves and gear up for future ministry. Do pray that the Lord will send along those he wants to benefit from this. Consider if your pastor or some other leader might like to have an invitation. 2017 Begins With Study
For one of our One Challenge colleagues, this new year brings a focus on study.
Helder Favarin has two weeks' intensive work towards his DMin in Advanced Preaching. His wife, Ana, is expecting twins early in February; one of her best friends has arrived to give needed support at this time.
