The Strategy We Use
Each situation has its own unique elements, but the process One Challenge follows is similar wherever we work.
Using research, motivation, and training, we mobilise church leaders to reach their nations and beyond.
Research
Proverbs 19:2 declares: Even zeal is not good without knowledge, and the one who acts hastily sins. (HCSB)
The first task is finding out the history and current situation in a place where ministry is being considered. God is always at work (John 5:17), we want to learn about the past and present so we can work for the future.
One Challenge has a Global Research Team encouraging and helping ministry teams in their research efforts. One Challenge believes that time spent in research is not wasted but will shape more appropriate and effective ministry.
Motivate
Christian leaders called of God have a heart for the church of Jesus Christ. Sharing with them the knowledge gained by our research, we can encourage them to have a vision for the communities they serve in their nation. One of our values is Multiplication. Motivating Christian leaders means they, in their turn, will lead their people to a different future, thus our efforts are multiplied to God's glory.
Train
Around the world Christian leaders are helped by training and other resources they can use. Or, they are hindered by the lack of them.
One Challenge has wide experience in vision setting, church planting, disciple making, leadership, member care and many other areas. It is our joy to help and encourage others to enter, and thrive in, the service of the Lord.
Mobilise
The one challenge Christ's church faces is the Great Commission and how to bring glory to God when increasing numbers of people worship him in and through Jesus Christ.
One Challenge has its own workers in many countries. Seeing growth in the worldwide company of people telling out the Gospel is our joy.
